i like the look of mine better when not lit up, but i think yours looks a hell of a lot better than mine when lit. yours is easier to read as well when lit.

It's not as bad as you think!

The hardest part was trying to figure out where to tap into the electrical and grounding the converter.

Wait...no! The hardest part was getting the Headlight knob off! LOL! I'm serious.....that thing wouldn't budge! I had to really pull on it while pulling back on the clip for it to come off.

As far as the electrical, I just took the Headlight switch off the bracket and unclipped the plug that goes into the side of it. I was going to try and scotchlok the big gray wire in the middle of the clip with the power wire on the convertor but instead I just stripped back a little more wire and stuck it in the hole where the spade from the clip goes. Clipped it back on and drilled a small hole on the metal bar behind the cluster. I crimped a ring connector to the ground wire and used a small sheet metal screw to fasten it to the bar through the hole I had drilled. After that it was just going in reverse as to how you take it out.

Great looking white face cluster!!!

My wife just got me these wite face gauges for xmas. I LOVE THEM! I was going to post on this, but I'll join in here.

Yes, removing headlight knob was by far the worst part of the install. I spent about 30 mins trying to get the damn clip up to pull it off. Finaly gave up on that and just pulled on it as hard as I could. It finaly poped off (and didn't break....went right back on). Removing cluster was cake.

Had the wife help put the covers inside at the coffee table. Easy as pie. She slid on the cover while I held the needles in position. I didn't use any tape or glue and it stays on perfectly when you screw the lense back into place. Just take your time to make sure they are in proper position and not crooked before you tighten the screws.

It was a perfect fit except for one small portion of white that showed where the turn signal flashers are. It stood out like crazy to have this little strip of white showing there. I though about cutting it, but changed my mind when I saw a black sharpie pen sitting on the table. Just colored that little part of the cover black and you can't even tell.

Wired the + wire of the gauage harnes into the large gray wire in center of light switch. For the ground I found a nice hole in a metal "L" bracket that is welded directly to the large pipe running the width of the car behind the dash. So I crimped on a U connector to the negative wire and bolted to this L bracket. I placed the glow dimmer switch under dash near door so that I can change brightness as I wish. Tested them during a long road trip to No.Cal the next day and all needles work perfectly.

Works like a charm, and DAMN they can get bright! Love the look in the day also. Goes well with my white vert. I'll take pics tonight in the dark and post.
