Questions about HID install
I've seen a lot of you guys have installed the HIDS from VVME and I'm wondering about the install process.
In their manual it shows cutting a 23mm hole yet I've yet to see anyone who has installed them talking about that. Is it necessary? Also I'm not quite sure what other wires are part of the kit. I know there are the two that plug into the old headlight sockets but are there also grounds and is there one that needs to go to a + terminal? I've actually ordered the bi-xenon kit from them but the shipping hasn't been going too well. Got stuck at customs for a few days then they gave it to USPS with my address in a different state for some reason. I'm hoping they sort it out soon so I can get to installing. |

Well, I'll answer my own question for future reference.
It requires no drilling or taping of anything. There are two grounds(one from each ballast) as well as one + connection and one connection to the old headlight harness. Got them installed today after a bit of fighting since one of my ground wires got chopped off somehow. 8K from VVME is slightly blue and awesomely bright. As others have said the highs and lows are switched which can be fixed. Ballasts were mounted under the radiator cover and once put back together it isn't evident that the headlights were tampered with. |

From what I've read you can but it's a different bulb type(usually H1 or H4?). I have no idea what your beam pattern would be like with projectors and HIDs though.

hids are the shit, they are bright as hell 2, i myself have the 10k and i love em. umm....installing them is easy as hell, just take your time and install it correctly cause installed wrong will cause you to blow a ballast. Oh and one thing make sure your headlight or foglight housing is free of leaks, i just experienced a blown hid bulb from condensation for a improper sealing of the housing. but i love em there bright and they definitely give any car the look and performance you want.
