Yeah but that's a whole different design we're talking about. It looks superb that way on the old school Mach's...but w/ the new edge front bumper it doesn't look good recessed like that and all...I'm sure most people will agree that it would just simply look better if it were all aligned.

The point is: it's paying homage to the old school machs !!

But it doesn't pay "homage" at all correctly. If they think it is then they need to fire their design team and start over. I'm just saying even though, yes, they are trying to make it "old-school", with the new edge GT bumper it doesn't look good recessed. But this is just my opinion guys so don't take it personally.

I respectfully disagree with you, the design team had a body style already made for them the fact that they took the balls to do a tribute to the old school machs is the reason for many happy 03/04 mach 1 owners! The point is they added small things like a recessed chin spoiler, shaker hood, old school font gauges, perforated trim (seats), and performance upgraded motor (4v) to what platform they had to pay homage. I feel that if anything they did a fine job and most will agree especially anyone who is a mach owner.

That same "idiot" design team was responsible for the rebirth of the shaker hood! Am I not correct? What other automotive companies are producing shakers on this day and age?

Oh and I am not taking this personally, I just feel that more credit is to be given?

Oh don't get me wrong I love the styling of the Mach 1's. The only thing that I think they could have done better on it is more horsepower and the chin spoiler

I'm going to write a letter to Ford and see if they can shine some light as to why the Mach 1 chin is set back the way it is. Maybe it's some kind of super handling thing we just didn't know about???? lol. I'll let you guys know what they say.

I got an e-mail saying that it will take 2-3 buisness day to e-mail me about my question. They did ask that Lefty stop 'chatting up' the service girls. lol.

So I got the E-mail from Ford, and they told me they couldn't answer my question but gave me a number to call where they could. lol. Find that kind of funny. Well I called that number and that was no help, so they gave me a website. The website was the same as when I called, no help. But there was another number to call, and so on. I called about 10 different numbers and looked at a bunch of websites I was told to go to and got nothing. The best answers I got were "That's just how they did it", "To pay respect to the old Mach 1, I think", "For front down force", "This is a Chevy dealer, so I have no Idea", "To make it look cool", and the best one "To save cost on plastic, maybe".
