Rear Seat Delete [Completed]

So I finally got the motivation up to do the rear seat delete i've been wanting for a while. I have had subs in my trunk, but two 12's take up way too much space in the trunk and they don't sounds as good, so they were going to replace the back seat

I wanted it to look at least decent and i think it turned out pretty well

The first piece of plywood in place to check sizing.

To get a pattern for the bottom piece I climbed in with some foam board and started trimming till i had a shape i was happy with.

Both pieces in place

Covered the wood with batting and then this tough black fabric and finally placed the two pieces in and joined the bottom with a hinge so i can add a little storage under the seats

and finally I put the subs and amp in, and bolted them into place.

There's a little bit bigger gap on the right side of the upper piece than i wanted, but I wasn't about to start over so it will just have to be like that.
All I have left to do is figure out a way to install the headrest and maybe some better cable management.

Hope ya'll enjoyed my first real project. any tips for me or questions, just ask

It looks good, however that sub box needs to go man. Looks tacky and hell having that box sitting there. I would say move the subs to the back of the rear seat delete, or leave them in the trunk. Your removing one of the purposes of a rear seat delete, and that is to have that clear "2 seater" look to the rear end.

However as far as construction goes, nice job. I would of hidden the hinges under the fabric tho. Plus, why have the hinges to lift up the bottom if theres a 50 pound sub box sitting on it?

I dunno, i kinda like the look of it since a lot of 2 seaters have a wall right behind the seats. I do wish i could extend the wall all the way across.

And you can still lift the platform up for storage it just takes a little heavy lifting, but i do wish i hid the hinges
