8500/9500 Escort Passport Hardwiring

Alright so i put this in the V6 section an no one really said anything about it but i thought it was a good idea. So i hard wired my Passport 8500 x50 in my car and i ran into a problem cause it had this muting unit and i didnt no where to mount it. Well i pulled out my coin holder and it was a perfect match to the inside of the coin holder. So i cut out the bottom and i slid the muting unit right inside the ring and put it back in. No need for glue cause it was such a tight fit. But it was so easy and its such a good idea i thought so i just wanted to share with everyone. Tell me what u guys think. Here are some pictures.

Dammit. First you steal my color then you steal my hardwire job? I did the exact same thing about a week ago. It's so tight.

Not funny... I'm actually a little pissed that someone else thought of the same thing... I mounted my detector in the top left of the window though. The toggle switch is the coolest part.

I know my Cobra one needs to have a clear view out of the rear window and I can't mount it in the top left of the windshield because I can't get it to shoot out the rear window

hmm... I wonder if it's screwing up mine... I have the new escort. It's at a slight angle so it's pointing at the left lane. It should go 360 degrees so it's not going to do worse is it??

Yeah my Cobra one is supposed to go 360* too but it says to make sure it has a clear line of sight out the rear window

You can do it with any model. You just need a straight cord: https://www.escortradar.com/store/straight-cords/
