First, I love the look you are going for and you seem to have a pretty good plan. However, the whole painting the wood thing is where you lost me on this one. I really think some gray carpet to cover your creation would be the way to go.

The carpet just did not work. I tried... however cutting the carpet that way just frayed it and it looks worse then painting.

These are some bad pics, since it was almost night time when I was done. Only thing I can think to do now would be to paint some of the screws black so they are not so obvious. I want to leave a few so it has that "Industrial" look to it.

It took that many to keep the thing from vibrating. They are self tapping screws, and they will be good until I have to remove it. At that point, I will replace them with bolts.

Next project will be a custom sub box... already researching some builds and info

I will take some better pics tomorrow... and should have some of the screw heads painted black by Wed...

Ya these pics really do not do it justice... plus the damn plexi is scratched already !!!

I need a smaller one... that one is just way to big for the trunk. I can not even get it out from the back. I have to push it in through the back seat. Plus it looks to plain...

However that is gonna be awhile.. got to pay for my lowering bill first hehe.

So.. in light of the recent addition of a custom sub box which required me to remove the rear seat delete temporailly, I have revised it.

Black carpet has been added, and the design has been covered up. Amp was installed under it as well. Provided a much cleaner and smooth look... enjoy

What, you did all that jigsawing for that nice design and you covered over it? Oh well, looks good. Did like the design, it was pretty cool looking except for the wood grain, but that could've been fixed. Now how about that amp rack, where's the pics? (nevermind found them)

I plan on making another top portion after the car show and putting a mustang in there. However, I am considering making it either a raised design or plexi with red vinyl behind it. This piece would be carpeted as well, and I will use a better mounting design (using the bolts at the top that the rear seat used).

Transparent would be pointless now since there is nothing to see in the back.

Amp rack.. ya... could not come up with a good looking design so just hid all the wires and everything.
