Painting interior


hey guys my GT is tan on the inside and i would really prefer for it to be black. how much of a hassle is it really to take the parts off inside? i have no experience doing this so any tips/suggestions would be helpful. thanks

Interior Blackout


here is a previouse link that is taking place. trust me its a task at hand. if you were not a convertable. i would buy and paint you a 99-04 radio bezel and pay you a little if u wanted to swap interiours buy your topless lol but if u were interested in swapping the parts that are interchangable let me know. im not wanting my black anymore. its getting old to look at

Zatrekaz's Interior Blackout Project

That is where I did my interior conversion. It contains 5 pages of discussion about the project, including material, parts, problems I ran into, and many other things.

It is very easy to take the pieces off... painting them is not hard either. You just have to use the correct paint and take your time with the correct steps and it will look amazing. My after pics can be found on page 4. It really is a great project to undertake.

still working on mine its not that difficult at all and just look at some other threads there is alot of how toos out there...just take your time and dont do like me..lol make sure you buy extra paint because it sux driving a gutted car to autozone to buy more paint

wait now that I think about it......it wasnt that funny

Honestly though, it takes time and patience. I did mine over about 4 days and two of those days I spent from sunrise to sunset. But I also replaced carpet and that was a pita.

My piece of advice, research. There are plenty of threads with ppl who have done this. Zatrekaz did a great job and his is a good thread to look at
