Painting my brake calipers

Decided to repaint my brake calipers since I have to replace some studs in my front anyways. The first time I did it I used the Dupli-Color brush on kit. This time I decided to use the same paint, but in a spray form. I sanded, primed, sanded, primed, sanded, painted. The finish so far is MUCH better than before. I have not added a clear coat as of yet, and I am hoping that the can of red last through 2-3 coats on each caliper hehe. Will be doing the rest tomorrow. Only had about 3 hrs to work on it today.

That is with no clear coat as well. Gonna be adding it tomorrow.

What ya think so far?

Ya, I thought about that... You would have to remove the brake hose tho and that seems like a pain due to the fluid...

How did you do yours exactly?

When I was sanding mine I noticed the sections that had the paint completly removed had a brushed look to them. Almost makes me want to sand down my back ones and see how that looks since they have no paint. I think a set of calipers that have a shiny brushed metal look would be sweet.

Looks good man. I got my front done today... gonna do the back Sunday. Came out so freaking smooth it amazed me. Taking the time to sand and primer it was a good idea hehe.

Will have some pics up tomorrow.

What are you using to sand those and what are you using to paint them? I'm looking for a blue kit myself, I have the 2004 Sonic Blue 'Stang and I'd like to get close to that for the calipers.

Got the rears done finally when putting new rims in. Also painted the wheel wells black, which can be seen in another thread here.

Will have some completed shots tomorrow sometime.
