Replica vs OEM Rims

What is difference between OEM and replica rims besides the price tag?

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer, which means they are made by say "Ford" or "Chevy". Replica wheels are wheels made to look like OEM but made by different companies..

But to answer your question, there is really no difference but the price

So generally speaking, are all replicas created equal? Would I be safe basing my purchasing decision on price alone?

I wouldn't go anywhere like walmart for wheels, lol but anything from say.. 1999-2004 Ford Mustang Wheels, Mustang Rims at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! would be just fine.

Just Check to make sure they are manufactured the same way. Some Replica wheels are Gravity cast, while most Ford wheels are low pressure cast. A low pressure cast wheel will generally be lighter and a little stronger.
