How to fix gelcoat
Hey everyone,
I was wondering how I can go about fixing small chips/scratches in gelcoat. I bought a hoodscoop on ebay that had a couple chips on the white gelcoat and i cant find anyplace around here that carries repair kits, is there any other thing I can use? I saw something at an auto parts place that said it would work with fiberglass or other materials, I will be painting this afterwards so I would wondering if a repair resin or something would work. |

you could use a resin if you wanted to, but I would recommend you just using some body filler, or even glazing putty if they're not to deep. the filler will be a lot easier to work with than the resin.
