My opinion is to get the mach 1 grill delete its the cleanest and nicest looking one imo, also its a biased opinion but heres mine...oh and i hate all billet grills just look hideous...

Your right, it has a little bolt on the bottom and a couple clips holding the top on.

Your idea of using an epoxy of some sort is the way to go, that is how i would of done it on my car if it wasnt already on there like it is when i got it

imo it is 100000x cleaner looking than the billet one...

you could always custom some mesh of some sort inside the grill close to the radiator that way u wouldnt see it but have some protection. just to be on the safe side and go with both pieces flat black.
