I'm sorry to bump this after a month, but I wanted someone's two-cents.

I was debating doing some black accent painting on the back of my 'Stang (sorry, no pics yet.... need to take some). I have a 2000 V6 3.8L Laser Red with 70,140 miles true.

A month ago, I did the "Mach 1" hood strip, but instead of flat black, I went with gloss to match the car's clearcoat. Flat is nice, but Ive noticed with other's at work with flat, it shows marks - ALOT. God forbid a bird craps on it, if you dont catch it right away and use dish soap and a soft pad, it might have a light mark. Water will also dry of it oddly. And if its oak pollen season, morning dew + flat = bad.

Id personally recommend gloss > flat. (unless it's a shower day and you dont drive it daily)

But Im debating doing the wing. I have the stock wing. Has anyone really dont their back wing black and have pics to post of a New edge?

Painting the spoiler black is a common and normally a respected mod. I find it odd so many people do not know this Lol. The Mach1 comes with the spoiler black...

This was gloss black done at a shop:

It all depends on what paint they used to paint it. I have Acrylic Laquer on mine and it doesnt spot, stain or anything like mentioned.
