that hood is sick.. i love it. if i had a 99-04 stang i would get it.. i might even get the one made for my 96 stang. its not a real ram air hood but it still looks sweet. and as for the hood being fiberglass its not far from your stock hood which is SMC... very similar to fiberglass except SMC has a little bit more flex in it and doesnt crack as easy

i thought bout doing some sick paint job to it..but im not sure what..like inbetween the ram air things..whatever yo uwant to call them....painting htat like silver or something??would htat look completely retarded or what? ooh and i painted part of my interior silver...tahts why i thoguht bout the sliver?

personally i would go with pure black... i.e. smoked headlights, smoked tail lights, black rims w/ chrome lip, mach1 grill delete... things of that nature. that would be sweet as hell. the mach2 ram air hood isnt really a type of hood i would put stripes on, unless you paint just the scoops, but i dont believe silver would look good on that... but thats my opinion

one of my friends has a body kit on his..idk what it is...but it looks like crap....everyone makes fun of him at school..like it seriously looks like a ricer..he has some 18s....there an aftermarket rim that i woudlnt put on my car at all....i thought bout getting the hood...its looks pretty sick...im looking at the black bullet rims....or whateve..smoked head/tail lights...and im tinting the windows....kinda working on exterior after i put my gears in...

if you get the hood get a saleen or roush kit also... the hood alone, like itschristorres8 said, would look like crap

ok but why get black bullit rims and like everyone else has?

maybe your friend is tryin to be different.

i chose my style because
A: look on this site, not one person has my rims
B: no one in my community or where i live, have i ever heard a bad comment or seen a car looking similar
C: how many black bullit rims do you see on a mustang?

they look nice but think outside the box if you car
an aggressive hood, wont fit the stock look
if you get a body kit, you pretty much have to go all out to make the rest match and look just right.
example:
car with just a body kit...the rims dont match stock spoiler or hood, tail lights, head lights dont match, nor does the interior really with the general flow of the car or theme
w/a body kit no matter which kit, rims is always a must because stock rims are only cutting it for the sleeper look, also the hood usually gets noticed as not as agressive so does a spoiler.
that you get rims...the brakes and calipers dont stand out, so now you gotta paint your calipers and probably wont bigger disc. but its not that bad.
then the fogged headlights..must go cuz its killing the theme. the spoiler then looks bad so you wana change that. along with the stock taillights
whats next?
you open up your car and wow...boring and stock compared to the outside.
so what do you do? spend more money making that look nice, then you open the hood and you notice...
a dusty dirty STOCK engine that hasnt been touched because
body kit and paint job costed-$1500-not including installing it-$300-500
hood-$500...painted $200
Spoiler-$200 painted $100-200
lights $200-400
inside-$50-$200+
possible other things- custom paint job-$2000 EASY!
rims-$1000-$1500

then you do lil bullshit things to dress up the engine.
wires,
CAI
exhaust so that back bumper doesn look tacky
(only performance mods)
got you maybe enough to make up for the power lost from the rims and body kit weight
then other dress items costing you another $300

so almost $5k for a car that looks like its running 10s and really is running 16s...oh and lowering springs...then you when you have $500 to get an engine mod...your body kit and low car got chipped somhow by your wanting to be cool driving make your car look as fast as it is...cost you $500 to fix...
then what happens
you see a how you've got into a money pit for a car that isnt fast and wish it was. and then you see a lower stock looking car with just rims and little detailed exterior items running about $1200 for everthign if not less and what do you say in your head..."it looks better"
what do you asked them.."how much you pay for everything?"

to each his own chris... im only doin appearance cuz i dont care if my car is fast or not... i wont be racing or anything so speed doesnt matter. im not a huge fan of the stock look so i want to change it... he prolly wants something different than stock also.

too each is his own is true! very true. im not saying dont go that route.. but if you do and you want it to be fast it'll cost more...theres a green GT on there and fast and a show car....he's also spent the most money on mods in this site..and probably runs high 11s

and like chris said.. if you take off your spoiler dont go for the new hood... the combination of bad ass hood and no spoiler would be way horrible
