I've heard of people using nail polish remover to take off paint. You could also wetsand them until you get down to the part you messed up on. Personally, i've used carberator cleaner to strip paint a few times.

The reason nail polish works is because of the acetone. Make sure you don't use too much as it will also eat plastic. I would pour some acetone or Mineral Spirits on a rag and use that to start. Get down to the NiteShade and then sand.

to strip mine I just used 800G sandpaper with water and a bit of dish soap in it. sanded them nice and even, hten resprayed.

curious, im thinking of getting a pair of GT tails for my cobra to put sequentials on. how do they look at night tinted? how well can you see the light still at night/day

Hmm, I think I might do that... mine are not reflective enough but are cleared. Guess I can use some nail polish remover, some 1000grit, and then re do the clear coats....

Mine was painted with clear coat tented black and the reverse lights were done in orange to mimic a reversed 99-01 cobra look...





Dont mind the filth...
