actually Zat, projectors are the preferred output for HID. much more conrtol over the beam than our stock reflectors. when HID was first offered it was in highend cars, and they all had projector style lights. in fact it was a early misconception that HID referred to projector headlights.

I have been looking at putting E55's in my headlights but the bugeyed look just does nothing for me so I think I will be getting 9007 bi Xenon soon for my stock lights. I just wish there was a decent way to get Projectors in them with out it looking like poo poo.

Sonnic... a couple months ago I found out you had projectors mounted up in your headlights, and am still hoping for head on day time pics...

It's illegal in some area's to have HID's if they aren't housed in a projector, b/c the glare they cause when housed in a reflecter can temporarily blind other drivers.

I do a lot of night driving... I like as much output as I can get so Im eally not feeling tinting my headlights... did it before with VHT, drove fora week and sanded it back off. I know HID is brighter, but... Ill play with it once I et the cash to get them.

ya i hear you...i bought ebay dark smoked headlights and am still using halogens...very little light output. good thing is i really drive a lot more during the day than at night, and most of the night driving is assisted by streetlights. definitely would like more light though. hids are coming for the headlights for me too. just have to wait and see if my friend will get new headlights. if not ill have to buy some projectors down the road.

so your saying that the tinted HID is equal to clear stock halogen. well I might be able to live with that. could you post output pics of them as well as daytime pics of the lenses so I can see how darkly tinted they are? if I tint mine again I wont go real dark, just shaded... not black looking...

The plug and play are very simple. You can install them in under 15 minutes. You simply find a place to mount the ballast, plug the ballast in to the stock headlight harness, then plug the other end in to the HID bulb.

LOL. Not a problem man. Here is the best I could do at the moment. The driver side is the tinted lense, the passenger is the stock. The car was on jackstands so I could not get good output pics down the road.

I can't get any day time at the moment, but i hope those help

which smoked headlights did you get? up above you said you got them from MU, but im not sure what that is?

and r3dfyre, you could always get 4300K and they will more than likely be brighter than stock. you just wont have the cool blueish tint.

edit-forgot to add that the lights (and your car as a whole) look amazing MP!

MU = Mustangs Unlimited. They are part number 9904US

R3dfyre02 - Mine are 5K. They are the brightest next to the 4300. They have a blue tint only at certain agnles, but are mainly just white.

Oh and thanks alot white03v6, I appreciate the compliments.
