Cup Holders

I was looking at a guide on painting the interior of a Mustang earlier and I noticed they didn't paint the cup holder. So when I was going to class I gave the cup holder a little tug and it didn't move much so I was wondering is it glued in? Or is it held in with tabs like the shifter bezel and dash other parts?
