Getting new bumper...

So my friend asked me yesterday if i wanted the rear bumper off of his 01 cobra for $100...ill be picking it up in a few weeks to paint it...then it's time to redo the exhaust again...then ill finally be albe to lower the rear of my car...not like this is important to anyone on the site....i just wanted to share

isnt the 01 rear the exact same thing as the GT rear, but says cobra on it?

no...it says MUSTANG on it...he's selling it to me because he bought an 03-04 COBRA rear...im not into the whole mis-badging a car...if it said cobra on it i wouldn't go for it...

Im pretty sure the 01's read COBRA and it was the 99's that read MUSTANG

then he has a '99...sry i just guessed the year...all i know is that it reads MUSTANG and isn't a termi...although he does have a Kenne Bell on it at 10psi

I can't wait to get it though...my dad and me are going to paint it at his works paint booth...should be on mid December as long as we can get the paint soon...i already have some 3.5" slash tips to put under it...and those will be painted black...

Its like the GT bumpers...or like the V6 bumpers but with exhaust cut-outs

and you should get pics of that cobra as well as pics of your car once you get this done

here are some pics of his and my car as-is....he'll have the new bumper next week...however it won't be until mid next month that i can get this painted...
and yeah...i'll take pics as soon as we are finished....

Nice man... I want to get a 03/04 Cobra rear and get the letters filled in and just have it shaved. I like the profile of the 03/04 cobra rear.

i know there is a site that sells aftermarket cobra bumpers already shaved...i forgot the link though

i know LRS used to sell them shaved , but i dont think they do anymore

I think it was LMR but i cant find them on their website..might have sold out. I would LUUUVE to have one.
