taillight paint

I want to paint my taillights all black with taillight paint, and was wondering how much light shines through. i know there will be less but i just dont want to get pulled over, so i was wondering if anyone had problems with them.

i just did this to mine, used the vht taillight tint..it depends on the amout of layers you put on, the more the darker, the less the lighter...i put 3 coats and came out pretty good, kinda dark but i like them. i wouldnt nessasarilly worry about the police as much as it will go against you for safety inspection..lol so i bought another set of stock taillights lol red ones on my blue car haha

I would not do more the three light coats. I have mine done that way and it shines through just fine. You can see them better then some of the new cars that have the clear taillights during the day at distance.

yeah just dont forget how much you're spraying. When i did mine, i did 2 more coats trying to even it out, and they are super dark.. i now have to have led's.

I suggest trying that out after a couple coats and then after each coat there after. That way you can decide between looks and functionality as you go
