Wat % tint should i get for my red stang? i have a paycheck comming in soon and i think i might spend it on tint ( like 150 bucks of it). I have a good shop that will do it , i just dont know what is a safe level that looks good and cops wont bitch. I want to almost fully blackout the corner windows. Anyone have any sugguestions or pictures of a certin % tint. Thxs

Depends on your laws, Check them and see what legal. Do you know any one with dark tint?? Do they get shit from the cops?

TITLE 75 Section 4524 (e)(1) of the Pennsylvania Common Statutes states that

(1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sun screening device or other material which does not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle through the windshield, side wing or side window of the vehicle.

It seems as long as they can see in the front or sides it will be fine. No i donot know anyone with very dark tint other than dark factory tint

Well there ya go, I would go darker but that's just mean. I also got 3 tickets for loud radio before I stopped putting them in my cars. SO dont listen to me. I learned after a 500$ fine and they blocked my License/reg from being renewed.

if you do it yourself be realy careful... when you cut the edges of the windows we did it t o a frineds car and i accidentally hit his window with the razorblade and the to pof his window cracked lol it doesn take much!!!!! do it on cardboard or somethin to trace on so you dont does what i did...

i mean im not going to be mr perfect i'd rather go on the risker side with the tint level, just not overdo it were i stick out like

and im diffently looking to get it done professionally, i know the place that will do it for 150, its a bit pricy but im paying for the quality

im looking to go very dark on the black window, even darker on the side corner. Pretty dark on the 2 side windows and not that much on the windsheild

I wouldnt do the windshield at all. Unless its a stripe at the top.

this is 30% so i guess im looking at 35% on the side windows, 25% on the back and 15% on the side corners. think that will look good?

i was looking to save up for exhuast or gears, but for 150 i think i can get alot of enjoyment for that price

You'll get plenty of enjoyment out of exhaust and gears too A bit more pricey but they're all fun. Just make sure you do plenty of research on what you want to get. I'm thinking of changing to an xpipe when I get LT headers.

Edit: I know it says enacted in 1999 but I think it's still in effect. The one from Iowa is from 1983 and I've been through multiple websites that are all giving me the same information.

so i went to 2 shops today to get quotes for 35% on the sides, 15% on the corners and 25% on the back. I got 200+ tax with a lifetime warenty and a 150 buck quote but i didnt see if i could get a warrenty

also i looked at the pictures they had and im most likely going to do 5% on the corners becuase it looks sick. and im leaning towards 25% tint on the windows but i dont want the cops to bitch


also.... i went to the police station to ask what is safe and this asshole cop who was hessitent about shaking my hand gave me a lecture about how i shouldnt do it

I have 5% all around, and have never gotten a ticket, a warning, a lecture, or even a glance, and I gurantee I live in a area more highly concentrated with cops than you. 5 different departments have jurisdiction in my front yard. Soo... it depends on the area I'd guess... however, getting 35% to me is pointless. People will still see you clear as day, it won't block out much light...and I have never been a fan of mis-matched tints, as in having different percentages on different windows. Now, if you want to stay not so criminaly, Maybe get the darkest legal up front and then 5% in corners and rear. Windshield strip to me is a must, helps a lot with sun glare.
