Paint design - Need your opinion

Hey guys... I got my black stang and Im going to need to repaint it pretty soon for rock chips and what not. I thought, "Hey, I gots an idea!" and sat down at photoshop (for about 1 minute and 30 seconds... 30 to open and a minute to do the design) and came up with this:

Id do the greyish black in a matte or flat black. the picture looks weird because of the awkward glare off the car. Its got the cobra hood on it, and I would kinda "V" the paint around the reverse scoop and bring it out to the raised portion of the hood.

what do you guys think?

So...flat black on top of black>?

I dunno if it would look right... I do like, or love actually, Rob Dyrdek's (sp.) Chevy Truck that was flat black...maybe that look all around, I dunno though...

thats why Im not in the paint booth yet. I think the design is okay by itself. I think the color is awesome, but both together on a black car... I dont want to spend the money to have it come out looking like ass.

I figured you guys have seen more than me, so you can let me know what you think.

Gloss black looks better on Flat black than Flat black looks on Gloss black. With that said they both look tits! I would try to tie the matte into the whole car though and not just leave it on the hood. (Every once in a while there is an ad banner with an S197 with Flat black stripes)

defiantly something I would do through out the rest of the car! I can see how the hood only would look weird. haha

If you're road racing, sure. Lots of guys paint their hoods flat black to cut down on glare. Elsewise, I suggest against it, it just looks like you forgot to finish painting the hood.

I think if it's done stylishly it can look good as hell. I've seen people with all flat black hoods and that looks like shit but it would look similar to a CF hood that is partially painted.

I plan on doing flat black stripes on my car when I finally get it re-painted. I'll be doing flat black with red border stripes though.

The hood looks primed not painted. Maybe a flat black stripe?

No it would be paint. And distinguishable as such.

Could work. Ill do some chopping when I get back home tomorrow and Ill try to put a stripe down the middle. To me, I think one stripe is gonna look kinda tacky, but Ill give it a run through!

Do 2 stripes each about 1 foot wide... And then do another one with red border stripes for me!!

how about maybe adding a little pinstripe around it tho....

But I like it... Try it with red pin stripes
