factory door sill plates

how do you take off the factory door sill plates??? i bought some metal ones an need help gettin them off thanks....

i think they just clip in to the sill

im talkin bout the ones that are on the paint...not that cove the pinch weld an carpet clips

yeah i know. On my car they are only about a 1/2" to a inch wide

ok, i think they are just held on by double sided tape

yuppers. and you said you already have the stainless ones, so if you ruin it or scratch a little under it, it will get covered up

or you could kist peel up a corner and pull them off.... (just take the ones off of the pinch weld first because the ones on the sill fo underneith them... )

well i got the damn things on the look good but damn you gotta spend alot of clean up time gettin that factory tape off!!!

they make a thing that goes onto a drill thats called an eraser. Its like a giant eraser that just pulls that tape and stuff off. To bad you didnt post about that earlier, i wouldve pointed you in that direction. your local auto paint store should have them
