Tribute to the 302
I am turning my 2000 V6 into a 302 Boss tribute car.
I just have a question - the stock V6 spoiler just isnt for me. Does anyone have a diagram of the bolt hole alignment from the V6 to the GT, or do they use the same mounting bolt holes? Thanks |

If I'm not mistaken, both spoilers are basically the same so they should use the same bolt alignment.

I'm pretty sure they're the same spoiler...

thats the 2001-04 spoiler. your better off looking around locally. i think spoilers from Ford were in the $300s.

Check Craigslist for anyone parting an 01-04. Usually they'll sell you the spoiler. I got mine for $50. Salvage yards are also a good place.
The placement holes are not the same though you'll have to drill four new holes, and also get a few push fasteners to cover the original spoiler's holes. If you paint them like a flat black or something another it looks pretty nice imo, although I believe most people just get touch up paint to match the trunk. Good luck!

I located some spoilers right up the road which came off Mustangs at a salvage lot. I want to paint it black so it's like the 302 from 1970. Oddly enough one of the spoilers is laser red that matches my car right now. |

Congrats!
I painted mine myself for about $12 including the materials, but if you want a professional finish most of the quotes I got were for all roughly $50. It's not really a large piece so you could probably drop if it off and pick it up within a weekend.
