HID Question PLZ HELP im Confused

Ok well I am need of new bulbs I was thinking about getting a whole new HID KIT the one I have is from the hidkits.com OR some crap and was $150.00

1.would I have just as good of parts off a 40$ kit off ebay???
2. how are the kits' on ebay? and
3.how much should I have to pay for bulbs

all I can find are the kits and not the bulbs by themselves how ever I have to drive 20 miles to pick up a local set and they are 70$ for just the bulbs?

4.I am confused on the differences. are the higher priced bulbs 55w? and the cheapers 35? I am confused help please

Thanks

Just buy a complete kit from a reputable company. Trust me. It'll save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

I got mine from hidguy.net.

no no no.

ok. Go eBay for sure. Mostly everyone i know runs ebay kits. My kits were 60.00 each for low beams only and 35watts. 35watts are bright, 55watts are fucking bright and asking for trouble if you ask me. But if you go with 55 then make sure you aim your lights down. And yes you can find bulbs individually on ebay. I think they are 30 bucks on ebay maybe. I forget. The wattage depends on the ballest. I think all the bulbs are the same. the ballast is what outputs the wattage. I've been running my kit for a year now, no trouble. Actually I have 2 ebay kits.

yeah HIDguy is great too. Awesome customer service and you get warrenty. with Ebay i don't think you get warrenty. they tell you, you do but you don't from what i understand. But if you go through ebay make sure they have good feedback. Ill try and find some good people to buy from for you

I bought from this guy. HID Xenon Kit H7 12K H4 9145 9003 H1 H10 12000K 9004 : eBay Motors (item 390031100160 end time Mar-10-10 14:54:36 PST)

This kit will make your radio fuzzy when the lights are on. so as long as that is not a problem for you then this is a good kit.

Im not sure what brand my other car has. I'll have to look.

10k will look like 8K from what i understand with 55w. and yes most places sell Bi's. and Slim is a personal preference. I got the fat ones because they are much cheaper and i don't care if they are sticking out where people can see them. Slim would definitely be easier to mount.

slims are better to hide but no it doesnt matter. 'bright' isnt the right word. 4500k is typically brightest, and from then on, it just changes color basically. but a 55w 10k kit would be the same or close to a 35w 8k kit. but i stuck to 35w just because i dont want the bulbs to melt anything. especially fogs, its a bad idea to get 55w fogs. but anyway. and yes theyhave bi xenon. it'll say 9007 (hi/lo) from the bulb drop down menu...or are our cars 9004...anyway pick the right one with hi/lo beside it

i have ddm 8,000k dual beam 55w, things rock
the only issue is they both dont come on at the same time all the time, but if just turn the lights on and off again they both come on

i heard this is cuz our engines use a bunch of electricity, also im runing a 6.5 inch touch screen, and when i turn lights on and off to fix it, it stops playback from my ipod,... sucking the power from it

HIDs take a high peak on electricity to ignight the gas inside

i am looking to buy just some normal fog lights, non hid, in a violet to hopefully match my hids,

go with ddm, there the cheapest around right now. i got vvme last year and i just had a ballast go out on my bmw (mustang's still fine) so imma get a new ddm kit tomorrow for it and keep the other good ballast for a spare for the stang. ddm just opened a new location about a mile from the shop my stang's in so yea, nice and easy and no shipping.

DDM tuning looks like the place to go. so. if I get 55w and leave it factory angled I am going to be blinding the shit out of people?

I like the Idea of 55W because I do country drives to relax and my philsophy is brighter is better.. but there is such a thing as too bright I want to respect my fellow road goers by not blasting them with bright ass lights...! does anyone have any good pics of a 35w vs a 55w BIG REPS FOR THEM!
