Pony Tribar Emblem Idea

So today I'm hoping to get around to removing the old dealer sticker from the back of my car and I was thinking of taking the fender emblems off while I'm at it. I was looking to replace them with V6 emblems but with the holes there I want to wait on those emblems (until I get the car painted so I can fill the holes). Now I'm thinking of taping off all the chrome parts of the emblems and painting the 3 bars black (to go with the black and white exterior scheme I have going on, but I don't want the entire emblem blacked out). So any ideas on what would be a good paint to do this with? I was thinking of just using a few coats of black spray paint and a coat or two of clear to make it shine, but being such a small area I'm almost thinking that brushing the paint on would be better? Any suggestions?

Brushing the paint would be the easiest. I would recommend just cleaning it good with dawn soap and water. Then get some black One-Shot striping enamel and a very small liner brush, i would recommend a 522-0/2 Mack liner brush, and take your time and with that brush you can get right up to the edge and in the corners and not have a ton of paint build up and ruin the "3d" effect of the bars and not get any at all on the chrome with no masking off at all.

Lol what should I be expecting to pay for the paint? Maybe I can find some other useful things to do with it

its like 10 bucks for an 8oz can i think

If you get some, STIR it do not shake it. If you shake one-shot to get it mixed up you will make tiny air bubbles that will mess with being able to get smooth lines with a brush
