Thinkin about getting this decal

03-04 Mustang V6 Coupe Reverse Scoop Hood Scoop Insert on eBay.ca (item 290278444871 end time 21-Mar-10 17:00:52 EDT)

Since I am not getting a GT hood anytime soon, I was thinking about getting this decal. I could leave it where just the inner scoop area is covered, because I don't like the gap in between the two decals. Then again, I could just move the first one back a bit to complete it...

What ya think? I was also considering painting it myself with spray... I can get it very reflective... Not sure if it would look better or not since vinyl can be a PITA to put on good.

Vinyl isnt that hard actually if you do it wet. Especially something that flat.

Nice chop there 6er. I kind like it coming down all the way tho... mind doin a quick addition for me of it coming down a few inches from the bottom of the hood? +reps for the chop

Ya, I agree...

I think I am going to order the vinyl. That way I can do it and remove it if I don't like it.

Hopefully the gloss black vinyl will be shiny enough.

Never really been a fan of stripes.

I think I am gonna get my hood repainted, so putting this on hold till the summer atleast. I have the BEST gf in the world who offered to pay for my hood to be repainted for my birthday

Sadly no...

I don't expect her to front $250 for my hood tho, I told her even if she felt like doin half... that she would be down right amazing. Of course even without that she is amazing.

hey zat i have a cobra r hood im bout to get rid of. sell it real cheap needs a little work nothing you cant handle and painted. pm me if interested

Forgive my Newbi-ness, just curious, a cobra r hood will fit on V6? I am interested in just doing a few minor mods and hood was somewhere I was lookin at, either doing stripes or something like the decals Zat posted about.

Vinyl is not hard to do at all....Soapy water and a squeegee is all you need...And I think vinyl is better because if you want to change it you can just remove it...

vinyl is actually pretty easy, just get some soapy water and it'll go on easy and you can get the bubbles out.

and yes the cobra r hood will go on a v6 there is really no difference in the bodys of the cars so most of any body part will fit v6 or v8
