they're still bright now matter what. the glare shield just keeps the light all together instead of being scattered everywhere.

No, its just a piece that covers part of the bulb to block it from shining on the reflectors so it wont make a glare.

Im gonna try to make some and let you guys know how it goes.

Little do you know about HID optics. When HIDs are properly retrofitted into projectors with glare shields, they put more light on the road where it's needed. It allows you to see further and more of what you need to see.

Your reflector housings scatter light everywhere and it's not useful. It scatters the light way off the side of the road and way into the air. You then have to aim the main part of the beam down where you don't need it. With projectors and glare shields, you take all that scattered light (wasted light) and actually use it.

OP, check eBay or make your own. That's where I got mine from.

I like projectors, i just dont like the shape of them lol. I use to have my lights aimed down and i hated it. So ive aimed them up a little higher so i can see lol. Me, i like a lot of light streaming down the road. It does help me when im out by my house since there isnt any street lights.

I have another question.. Each light stream has a rectangle shape on the stop of it. Is there anyway to get rid of that?
