GT Hood on 6er

So, I messed up the hood in my recent incident and I want to get one of the stock GT hoods with the air scoop. I've been looking on this site

http://www.carpartswholesale.com/

And I see there's a hood on there with holes for an air scoop but what other piece do I need? Is there any way of making it functional? I like the price of this over the Shaker system if it can work, but I'm not sure about it. Also if not this hood are there any other hoods that you guys would recommend that won't break the bank? Thanks

my favorite hood is the cobra r or a cowl. if you pulled it off of a gt it would not be functional. you would need to do some fabrication to make it functional. also the shaker system is more than just a hood. its a whole intake system

Ahh! Personally I'm not a fan of all that big hood stuff, I like the OEM hood, but one with a functional scoop like the GT I think would look nicer, because that's usually how I tell which Mustangs are GT's haha. If I went for any aftermarket hood it would be the 03-04 Cobra hood, but if I could just stick with the stock hood I'd prefer it, plus it's half the price at that site I linked! Just not sure about that whole air scoop thing, but I suppose if it wouldn't work, then I'll just stick with the stock one.

Edit: wait... are the GT hoods functional? They look like they are, if they're not I just want to go for that look with the bigger hood scoop. Thanks

GT scoops are fake....and I see V6s with them allllllllllllllll the time....so telling by the hood is the last way u wanna pick out a GT....neways u can make the hood scoop functional without it flying off by drilling a circle in the hood.....and drilling holes in the honeycomb grill.......I know a guy with a GT he uses for the track with this setup...helps the car cool down a bit he says using the digital temp read out....so it does work but as for rain...he doesnt drive it in the rain so idk how it will be for your engine....i have a Hybrid Cobra R hood....so i sold my GT scoop and hood a long time ago

that would be because those are not painted hoods.

plus its not even a "GT" hood its just a scoop on the stock hood unless u have the 99 Cobra hood or early V6/GT with the little honeycomb grill toward the front facing the windshield instead
