Emblem Painting

Not sure if anyone remembers me mentioning I wanted to paint my tribar emblems, but I finally got around to it. Please note, I'm by no means a decent painter

I personally like how they turned out. I need to put another coat on though. In good lighting and up close you can pretty easily see the flaws in my painting skills. Hopefully I'll clear all that up after the next coat

Lol it definitely could use a good wash, just haven't had the time

And I thought about smoking mine, but I wanted to keep the chrome look

That looks good man. I think I am going to do the tribar part of mine red. They are all black atm.

So blacked out emblems with red stripes? That would be sick! Btw I loved your blacked out emblems the first time I saw them and I always wanted to do that. Then I can up with this because I wanted something else chrome to go with the pony in the grille, exhaust tips, little bits of the wheels (center caps and valve stems), and other little things. But at the same time I wanted the emblems to look different than stock. I'm happy with this because 99% of people would have no idea I changed the emblems at all, but you guys could spot it

I actually ended up picking up a different brand from Menards. I don't remember what the brand was but it was an enamel, I made sure of that

If it doesn't hold up I'll order some OneShot, but I was a little too impatient to wait for it to come in the mail

Im sure it will hold up fine on something like that. What kind of brush did ya use?

Lol they must just have them in my area then. It's basically the same thing as a Home Depot or Lowes (hopefully you've heard of one of those

). I ended up using a very thin brush I had laying around (the bristles altogether were about the size of the lead on a sharpened pencil, maybe even smaller than that). I almost think I should get a slightly wider brush for the long areas so the paint will go on more evenly though.

I read it wrong, i thought your paint brand was menards

yeah if you were to go around the edges with your tiny brush, and then have a brush that is a little bigger and hit the main part of the bar while the edges are still wet your "paint flow" will look a little more even.
