I started with the door backs. I'm on a time limit. I don't have much time for anything. I do what I can. 4-5 coats and 2 clear coats. I don't think I'm going to do the door handles... One on my drives door won't stay on anyways. I'm trying to decide to do the gauge bezel or not... IDK what else I'm going to do.

About the shift boot, do you just use a M/T shifter boot?

Yeah. I was doing it in the kitchen and everyone started to bitch about the smell. So I got in a hurry and got all kinds of finger prints on them and shit. I got so mad that I just threw it away. My GF went and got it out thankfully. I guess I'll go get some paint thinner when I get paid. I'm very tempted to just get the gauge bezel and door pieces professionally done...

First off... do not paint in an enclosed area like a kitchen. You need to be in an area that overspray will not land on things (belive be, you will be surprised how far that stuff can travel) and where it is well ventilated.

Secondly... and don't take this the wrong way, but chill hehe... this is fixable. I have gotten finger prints in paint and made indents as well. All you need to do is run by Autozone/Advanced/whatever and buy you a can of paint stripper/remover.

Now... heres the tricky part. Do NOT.... Do NOT... leave the stripper on the paint for more than about 5-10secs at a time since this is a plastic piece. Paint strippers are VERY acdic and very potent chemicals that will eat through plastic. Simply clean the guage bezel really good with a full strength degresser or soapy water, spray an even coverage of paint remover, let sit for about 5-10 seconds, then remove the stripper and any bubbled paint with a rag and some cold water. Also be sure to wear gloves cause that stuff can burn your hands.

If you do not feel like you want to do that, you can always grab some 320grit sand paper and go to tower sanding the paint back down to the original color and start again.

Painting takes a lot of paitence and alot of fuck ups to get right man. When I was doin my Fog Lights I fucked up the last one while polishing... I was like 10secs from bein DONE and it messed up and I had to start over

Well my GF offered to remove the paint with remover but she isn't as careful with things like I am... I did that in the kitchen and it made the floor pink, but I cleaned it up very easily... All I got left is the gauge bezel and I'm done =/. The defroster vent came out ok...
