i'll be honest...your best results will be cleaning the calipers off with purple power or mean green...and then paint it with high-heat in your choice of color...it comes out smooth and will cost less....ask me how i know this

edit: $6 job (sry for crappy pic...but you get the idea)

i only use krylon high-heat...i've used it countless times on countless cars on a lot of different aplications and it never fails for me....just remember to prep and take your time...if you want to take it further then find a high-heat clear...may finish it off nicely

Anything involved with prep besides a serious cleaning of the calipers? I'll be ordering new ones since this is what I found when I changed brake pads/rotors today.

All 4 front caliper pistons looked like that. I'm betting the rears will look like that too when I get at them on Friday.

so spray would be a better option over the brush included in most kits? and has anyone ever put those caliper stickers on that say mustang like the cobra calipers say cobra? im curious to their durability. supposedly they are made of high heat stuff and a genuine ford product, i will try to find a link.

What about the adhesive, is it durable? I dont want to have letters falling off lol, and do you know if they could be removed without damaging the paint on the caliper? thanks

Nice! I like these rims a lot. Mostly for how easy they are to clean. 5 spokes = a hell of a lot easier than 20 lol

I used spray for mine. Just get some High-Temp spray, Primer, and some clear along with sandpaper and masking tape.

Mine are fading, but I think thats from lack of cleaning them and poor prep at the time.
