Chrome or Black Machined? Lowered? Staggered?

The deal with the black Bullitts fell through a while back, so I've moved on. It's getting to the point where I'm going to be changing tires soon, so I'm going to change the wheels while I'm at it.

I've settled on the 2010 GT500 style.

Anyway, what do you like more? (I drive a 2006 Legend Lime)

Chrome (174.99 apiece):

Black Machined (144.99 apiece):

Also, I'm debating going with a staggered and lowered setup. (18x9 in the front, 18x10 in the back)

Does the "cool factor" of the staggered setup outweigh the practicality of a standard one (being able to rotate the tires)?

As for lowered, I do a lot of driving. Would springs make that drive miserable? Should I go with Eibach or H&R? Sport or Race?

My current setup/stance:

I say go with the black machined, or even the black. It will, in my opinion, go better with the lime color. If your going for looks go with the staggered. Have a smaller tire up front and a bigger one out back, like a 285 or 305. And yes to me staggered does outweigh the ability to rotate.

I have lowered my car with H&R SS springs and love it. I cannot really tell in the difference of the ride, seems the same to me. I went with the H&R SS because I wanted it lower than the Pro Kit allows (1.5) but I didnt want it to low that the sportline gives (2.0). The H&R had as a 1.75 inch drop.

staggered set-ups are sexy as hell....i even run a 245/45/17 and a 275/40/17....it's enough of a difference to tell and it looks good from the rear...besides..rotates cost money and now i don't have to spend it lolz

I'd say if you can afford to replace tires more often, then staggered is the way to go. I run 245/40/18 and 285/35/18 tires and I love it.

I see you have no stripes..That would have been an included factor on which way to GO..theme/color wise.

I would GO with the black machined, staggered set-up with eibach pro-kit...285 or better in the rear

285's sit pretty well on a 10" rim. Think it would be possible to fit a 305 on one? 285 is nice but I'm thinking wider next time around

Go with the machined black for your color. I have a staggered set (17x9 and 17x10.5) and it is great... way worth it. Running 275 up front and 315 in the back. I kinda want a smaller tire up front.

Lowering is deff the way to go. I noticed a difference in the ride quality, but it was not THAT bad. You NEED to get new shocks/struts if you want to maintaine ride quality. I went with H&R SS springs and Toicko HP Series Shocks/Struts.

I like the chrome. Cuz I'm old. And have vision. And taste. And that certain 'cool' factor.

Roll with that!!

I bought it used, and the guy before me removed the stock rocker panel stripes.

I might add a black superstripe in the future.

Also, I updated the OP with my current setup.

i would go with the black machined and a 18x9 18x10 staggered setup. The machined ones look good with almost any color.

285/305 is the tire height, correct?

Nope...width in mm -------285's are 11.42 inches across whereas 305's are 12.40 wide

your height comes from your rim and side wall size
