My Current Project

So what was meant to be a free head unit steal from my brothers hyundai has tuned into quite an expensive swap. (not that it wasnt slightly expected, lol)

Here is what ive done so far: (ill post pics as soon as i can get my computer to stop being a PITA)

First i installed a kenwood head unit in my completely stock mustang. Not the best, but hey, it was free. Then i was like, "Hey, i should get some better speakers too." Pioneer 3-ways in the doors and 2-ways on the deck. "You know, i really wish that i had some more bass." Alpine 800 watt amp with sony 12" subs. (once again, not the best but the whole sub system was $200 from a friend)

After that, i got in my car and was like, "ugh, green guages and hvac with blue and red radio lights, that looks like crap" = ripping apart the hvac and removing the green plastic and finding blue to put in along with white LEDs and new guages from americanmuscle.

"Ooh, that looks nice, this is fun"

And thats where we are now. I just got leather seat upholstery from a wrecked 99 cobra cause it was one of the main things i wanted to do. They should be in by next weekend hopefully.

Next, since i really like the white with blue combination on cars i think that im going to get this in navy and also paint the calipers blue.

Rocker Stripes fits all Mustangs [RPS] - $39.95 : BaltimoreStreetMods, 3M Automotive Graphics

I was thinking of writing like "232ci 3.8l" on it or something like that

So, any comments or ideas on what i could do? I also want to mount my amp to the right side of my trunk (wont fit on the seats) but im not sure of the best way to do that. Other small random ideas were doing things like, BLUE LED maplights. that way if im hanging out at the lake or something with people and playing music, i can have cool atmospheric lighting in my car, lol.

Umm... so i think thats about it for now. But im sure there will be more to come!

Post some pictures so we can get a better idea with what your working with. Sounds good so far though, it's just hard to tell what else would look good without seeing.

I've done blue bulbs in the dome before on my old cavalier, totally useless if you actually wanted to find something in the dark. They weren't LED though, probably would have helped.

Was definitely funky.
