Product: Final Detail. Anyone heard of it?

I saw this on QVC as i was flippin through the channels the other night. I never used a wax before that you can just spray on like that. I always used the paste waxes which i hate! I bought my car brand new a 14 months ago and I am planning on waxing it for the first time this month.

So the product is called Final Detail. They have the video they showed on QVC on the site below as well (Demonstration type of thing)

Final Detail Top Shelf Series 20 Washes & 20 Waxes Car Care - QVC.com

Anyone heard of it??

I wanna detail the car right and wax it right! Keep in mind I am in south FL so it gets HOT!

$20 for a spray wax and soap solution? Run away.... "High foaming car wash" ... Foam does nothing for cleaning your car.

They make spray waxes, and they are very common. However to me they have always been a pain, as they get into crevices and such very easy.

If you just want to do a decent wash and wax go to Autozone/Advanced/Walmart and grab this:
  • Meguire's Gold Class car shampoo
  • Meguire's Gold Class Wax (Paste/Liquid)
  • Meguire's Smooth Surface kit (Clay bar)

You will need Microfiber, you can go with the OTC kind but its low quality and will cause micromaring. If your not that worried about swirls and such, get the OTC. If you are, check out this site: 16x16 Premium Buffing Towel - 6 Pack

Now this will not give you perfection, but it will clean the car good and protect it while adding some shine.

You also need various things like a wash mitt, buckets, ect, ect.

thanks for the advice Zatrekaz! Well I do wash my car on a weekly basis so I got the buckets and stuff like that. So I can use the Microfiber the entire way through? not just the final buffing?

What I used to do back in the day.... (you are probably gonna kill me lol) .. was just like cut up an old shirt, put the paste on the car... rub it out, and then use another piece of the shirt to just go over it one more time without the paste right after i got rid of the paste with the first cloth.

Though you sent me a link to quality MF, how can I tell which is standard plain jane MF or quality MF?
