Im wearing a bra

...well my car is. But the question is, will it ruin my paint? Its the vinyl kind. The reason its on is because im going on a looooong road trip tomorrow and I dont want the rocks or bugs or whatever to ruin the bumper. I got a chip last year when I went back home, and its huge, so I want to prevent that again.

If its going to run my paint, I will just take off the bumper portion and keep the hook one on, but want input from anyone.

My little sister ran a bra on her conv for like 2 years without EVER taking it off (i tried to tell her about 100000000+ times) and yeah, it fucked up her paint. There is a big line across the whole front of the car where the color changes. But that was over 2 years straight, so you should be ok for just a trip....

dont wash it with the bra on it either

Was there any spots along the corners where it looked like it rubbed? Thats where I heard its the worst.

as long as your just using it for the trip you should be fine...just take it off afterwards.

no it fit perfect (it was a ford bra) i took it off her car for her an i didnt see any rubbing, though she also has a new edge

I mean, it looked good on her car, but she is so fucking lazy

I want to confiscate that car from her

Well I just plan on keepin it on for a couple days. I put it on today because ill be too busy tomorrow to do it. I sure hope it doesnt mess anything up tho, or fall off, now that would suck.

Ill probobly take it off at a gas station right before I get home, that way I dont go to sleep and get lazy afterward.

Good. Thats what I wanna hear. But I might have to take the bottom off, those stupid tabs dont really stay in place, and I have a feeling it could come loose, but we'll see.

If youre still too afraid of it messing up the paint, then heres a suggestion. Autozone has this stuff you wrap around the bumper to protect it. Its like plastic wrap that you put on your bumper

I know they make a clear bra that you can have applied by a shop, is that the same thing?

Just wash your car first... worst thing you can do is trap dirt/dust/bugsplatter/whatever between the bra and your paint.

Yea I washed it today at lunch, and then I put it on afterward. Made sure I dried it real good too.

I have one on my car now. I take it off each time I wash the car and each time it rains. It leaves marking on the paint, but I can buff that out. I use it to keep the rocks and such from chipping away at my paint. You should be fine...

i've been thinking about throwing one on mine cause they are seriously repaving EVERY street in my town.

Well made it home fine. Took the bra off this morning when I dropped my buddy off. Theres a few little tiny scuffs, that I think should come out, and maybe a couple that wont, but not very noticeable. It helped keep the garbage ass bugs off my bumper tho too
