new theory... wonder if it would work
this prolly belongs in the visual section but heres my new theory...
a 99-04 hood on a 94-98 in theory it should work as the only difference in the actual shape is the 94-98 hood is slightly more curved at the part that goes over the grill, whereas the 99-04 is a lil more angled there (and for the cosmetics of course but that wouldnt play a part in this). that slight difference shouldnt be a problem since adjustments can be made to level the hood correctly. if my theory is correct about the hood being able to fit, then it would open the door to a lot more possibilities for the 94-98 stangs so what does everyone think about this? i have a friend back home that is willing to experiment with this theory when he has the time

I think you'll have to do some work on the leading edge of the hood. Do a search on the 3.8mustang forum. There are some images of someone trying it.

you can get it all to work with a good bodyman... theyare fiberglass hoods & fiberglass is easy to mold & shape.. if you get a really good custom bodyshop to do it, it will all work pretty good for sure! some guys can do amazing things!

I've heard that they don't swap easily, but like you said if you can find a decent shop to do it for you then it should transition fine.
Here's a question: How much do GT/Cobra hoods need to be modded to fit on my six? I'm going to put a crate engine in and I want a more aggressive hood.
