Rim Size


Hey guys, anyone know what size rim is suppose to come on a 96 base model mustang?

for a V6 it would would be 15"...a GT i'm not sure, might be 16" or 17"...? someone else might wana answer that..

EDIT: oh, "96 base model mustang", I guess that'd be referring to V6...so yeah, 15"

hey I also have a question relating to this actually...

if stock rims are 15", what size are the stock tires? 245/45-15 or something...? whatever that means....

more than likely 205's...


i'll break it down on the tire thing for you guys.


lets take a 245/45/17 for a referance point

245- how wide the tire is
45- how muct tire you have between the lip of the rim and the top of your tire
17- wheel size.

and all that other stuff like Z ZR and what not is just the speed rating.

um...that can't possibly be in centimeters, 245 centimeters is like about 3 yards. I don't know about you guys but I've never seen a 3 yard wide tire =\

I'm pretty sure it'd be in millimeters. (one tenth of a centimeter)

but thanks for that explanation.


and also, what lug pattern fits on a 94 V6? and what is "offset" and "BSM"?

5 x 4.5 fits.

the offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.
(yes i googled this to get the correct info)

not sure what bsm means though
