I'm not sure what your wiring looks like from the fog lights, but if there is just a positive wire and negative wire you can attach the positive to the positive wire in the cluster that is connected to your headlight knob and then ground the negative. Then they will turn on when you pull out your headlight knob. The positive wire would be the thick grey one in the middle.
![]() I don't know if this would work. I would check around before messing with it. That's just how I wired my led cluster to turn on with the headlight knob. This doesn't really show how to wire it to your headlight knob, but it might be helpful anyhow. http://www.americanmuscle.com/indepe...ht-wiring.html |

Re: Fog Light Install
I can't help you with how to turn them on when you pull the light knob out...But, I can help with installing: you can pretty much run the wires up the engine bay (wrap them in an insulated wiring tube), and run them through the firewall. From there, run them under the carpert, under your driver seat and up to the center concel. Now, open the concel and you will see 2 or three rubber "stoppers". Pull the stoppers off and unscrew the screws underneath them. Now you can pull the plastic the runs from the concel to the shifter off. From there you want to pop the coin holder out and run the wiring under the concel to hide it and out the hole for the switch now. If your confused, PM me, i will send you pictures. |

Fog Light Install on 2001
I did this install on my 2001. When I started I wanted it to meet 3 criteria, 1) it had to appear stock, 2) the lights turned off/on with the headlights, 3) the fogs did not turn off with the high beams. The good news is that all the wiring inside the car is there, tear open the center console, install the Ford OEM switch and zowie! The bad news is that the wiring stops at the firewall. You have to scrounge the connectors to the fogs from the salvage yard, you can buy a kit on e-bay now, but I did my mod, including the take off fogs, for about $100. Other items needed is a 30 amp relay, treminal connectors, heavy duty 20 amp fuse holder with 20 amp fuse, flexible 1/4" dia. split tube covering. And, of course the wiring diagram. I ran all this stuff to the engine compartment fuse box. I wrote a full article, with pictures, a couple of years ago. I could email it to you if you would like. Good luck!

if i remember correctly...
when i had my v6 and i was installing a speedcal i saw the wiring already in place behind the shift boot. pull off your shift boot and if it is there all you should need to do is buy a fog light switch |
