Cobra Rims, Wax, Leather, and tire polish

What can I use on my ford cobra R rims? I have been using maguires tech wax on my car and rims every 4-5 months and mequires yellow bottle car wash and it works pretty well. The dealer told me if I use armorall or tire shine it will rot my rims on the inside because the rubber cant breath. Is that true? Can I use windex on my rims without hurting them? How often should I wax my car and my rims? Thanks

I imagine if your tire is breathing then air is escaping and there for they are flat... may be true but sounds stupid to me.

sounds a little far fetched to me.. the guy has no idea.. i've been around cars my whole life & never heard that... i don't & wouldn't use armorall anyways... use meguires endurance tire shine.. good stuff & doesn't sling off like armorall. just my 2 cents

Armorall brand tire shine will make your tires crack if you use it for awhile then stop. Blue corral makes a great tire shine and so does meguires just stay away from Armorall
