Sequential tail lights

hey so I just have a simple question about sequential tail lights, because I've never seen them on a car before, I don't know exactly how it is that they "sequence"...

is it according to how hard you brake? as in, the harder you brake, the more of the lights will light up? or is it just always a constant sequence that repeats at the exact same speed every time?

oh, shit yeah...that's what I really want them for, if it was just the turn signal thing...meh....
do they light up in accordance to how hard you're pressing the brake pedal? cus that'd be the coolest shit ever!
