At first when my friend told me he got those tails... I didn't agree with the whole idea... But after we installed them... I started to like it. Although I personally prefer the stock tails with sequentials...

When we installed it... We used that extra wire that came with the sequential kit to make the cobra's inner light bulbs turn on with the other four...

Soooooo here is my blackout idea. had some leftover niteshades so i put a heavy coat(held the spray like 10 secs lol) on the old tri-pony. so the white stripe ran a little but i got the overall effect i wanted. next one i do will have light coats so it doesnt run. please tell me what yall think? (pics are taken at like 8pm)

I like the idea but I have a little advice. Go to Wal-Mart and pick up a small can of interior/exterior gloss black enamel and some small paint brushes. Paint the stripes black with that and they'll look like the emblem in my sig. It takes a little patience to get the paint even and be ready to wipe up any paint that gets on the chrome but overall it's pretty easy to do. Then take the Nite Shades and use very lights coats so nothing runs. Your stripes will have a nice black and the chrome areas will get that sort of black chrome effect you appear to be going for without having to use too many layers to cover to color of the stripes.

Once I sprayed it, it did look kinda like a black chrome. Thanx for the tip. I did want the emblem to blend to the black but I like the black chrome idea better.

the previous owner replaced both front fenders and pass door skin and repainted the car. that pinstripe is the original from the factory. so he put a 3m sliver pinstripe to cover the old one. i dont like pinstripes so i peeled the pass side off and then the driver side and realized the old stripe is on the driver door and rear 1/4 panel. doesnt really bother me but the paint is faded a bit so if i repaint i will take the old stripe off.

damn that's a lot of orange peel...even though the original owner painted it...i'd start wetsanding now

lol yea the whole right side is like that. when i got the rear bumper painted guy at the body shop told me to bring it back to clear the pass side. i would but the driver side is original i think and has scratches i will probably repaint sometime soon. maybe diff color

Not a problem. Just do the stripes on the next emblem with gloss black enamel and I think you'll get exactly what you're wanting
