Any Tips For Painting?

I know the general process of painting stuff, but I'm going to attempt to fix up some chipping/peeling paint on my car (don't have $2500 to have it all repainted professionally) since it looks really shitty. Here's a pic of the worst area:

Ignore the dent, I haven't gotten around to figuring out how exactly I'm going to fix that. But I'm wondering how I could go about blending the paint so it's not completely obvious that it's just a patched up area (I know it will look like it up close anyways). Any ideas?

easiest way would get a quart of 1-stage paint in your color.. then a bottle of catalyst and paint thinner to mix with it. then some sandpaper and primer.. tape body off and paint the door. let it dry before you touch it. that should all be right under $100 unless they let u buy a pint of paint then it'd be alot cheaper
