New hood
I recently purchased a 2004 V6 hood for cheap and I want to shave the indent. Should I use regular Bondo, or should I look into a more flexible material?
It is this hood: ![]() I want to make it look like the 05-09 hood without the scoop. ![]() Shaved, clean, smooth.

I would probably use fiberglass. Or just buy a small cowl hood because that's what it will turn into (visually).

Thats gonna be a lot of filler and a lot of work for a hood that isn't IMO going to look nice. Just get an aftermarket one.

Bondo is not going to work, it will be way too thick on there and will crack the first time you shut your hood. Fiberglassn will work ok, but I agree with the others, Id leave it alone

![]() This is what my car looks like. Its orange. It needs to be painted. I was wondering what the best filler would be because it has to be painted and I like the shaved look. I ditched my shaker, I don't like Cowls, and the Cobra R hood is currently out of my price range. So it looks like I will be using Fiberglass.

I think better leave it alone,
or maybe if your read dead set on working on it, then maybe remove that honeycomb from the hood and replace with a functional grill which will absorb the heat.... just a thought man!
