05 shift knob on a 03

Did some searching on here came up alittle short. Found a thread where a guy said it worked for him others say it wont. Without a adapter kit, will it work or not?

Is there a cheap way to make it work, with out cross threading or any other issues?

My friends 07 Gt knob screwed onto my 00 Gt with no issues. I didn't like the feel so I want back to the other knob.

It'll fit. To me it just looks tacky.

I would have to guess they're unaware of "left loosy, righty tighty"

I honestly don't see why it wouldn't fit. At worst it just wouldn't cover all of the threads on the shifter.

Oh its a Roush White Ball shift knob guy has for sale locally, not a stock knob.
