Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows if the stock wiring harness for the 99 GT headlights and fogs are able to support the power of start up of HID headlights because i was told that it could possibly fry the wiring? Thanks

55watt HIDs might fry the cars harness but 35watt should be fine. I have been running 35watt HIDs on all of my vehicles for years and have never had a problem.

From my experience... 35w FOGS ALMOST look as bright as my 55w HEADS...

yea its because the fog lights are enclosed in a smaller space than the headlights...
so my 35w 6k fogs look brighter than my 35w 6k heads...

What kind of fog housings are people running with their HIDs? I just installed diamond cut fogs with HID's but looks weird because the diamond cuts dont have a light shield so the bulb is fully exposed

Your gonna need a wiring harness if your buying a bi-xenon high and low beam kit, but usually its included with the bi-xenon kit.
And as said before your perfectly fine running 35w single beam without the harness

Interesting. When I bought my car, the fogs were all brown and faded so I bought diamond cut to replace. I put HID in it (6k) and the bulb is fully exposed and the light output sucks. Looks good though. Know of a shield or reflector that would go over the bulb? My old truck had it and the light output was much better.
What brand are you running of HID?

The hi low kit for the headlights comes with a wiring harness. Is harness you ordered for the fogs?
