removing dents/dings

You guys think this would actually work? I found it online. I have a couple small dings I'd like to get rid of.

Difficulty:
Moderately Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need
• Aluminum foil
• Tape
• Cigarette lighter
• Can of compressed air
• Soft, clean, dry cloth

o 1
Place a piece of aluminum foil over the dent. Use a small piece of tape to secure it.
o 2
Hold a cigarette lighter about an inch away from the foil and use it to heat the foil up for at least 30 seconds. This will heat up the dent without hurting your car.
o 3
Remove the foil and spray the area with a can of compressed air by holding the can upside down and spraying so that it dispenses liquid. Be sure to cover the entire area.
o 4
Allow the liquid to sit on the area for three to five minutes. You will see the ding begin to pop out on its own.
o 5
Wipe the area clean with a soft, clean, dry cloth to remove the liquid.
o 6
Repeat the process if necessary until the dent is gone.

Home remedies for dents are all bs, the compressed air, dry ice, all of them. The only way is to physically pound out the dent or fill/sand/paint. I had some hail damage on my titan last yr and tried several home removal procedures all of them with less than stellar results. I ended up going to a paintless dent removal service and asked the owner about the home remedies. He said they are all bs too. If they worked, he wouldn't be in business.

or he just didnt want you to tell more people they worked, so he could stay in business. your dents were probably creased, which is why it didnt work. if you would like, you can look it up on youtube and find around 100 videos of it working

All that I know is that I dry iced them in 100 degree heat on several attempts, with no results. I paid 150 bux to him and the truck is now perfect. They were small hail dents. No creases. Believe me, I am all for a do it yourself remedy, but the "pop your own dents with something cold" deal is a myth. But if it worked on youtube, it has to be true.

That might have something to do with it. I've never tried it on a big dent before (and hopefully I don't have to) I have heard that some ppl can get dent out with the dry ice/compressed air method but they will mysteriously return after time and weather changes. I had a couple on the roof of my titan that I did not get fixed but after a month in 100+ degree oklahoma heat, they seem to be less noticable.
