I Am Striping My Terminator

June 4 I am having the stripes painted on. They will be the same mineral gray metalic paint only tinted darker. Cost is $1200. They are going to do a 4 stage paint job so that after the clear coat is blended you wont be able to feel the line of the stripe. I know some of you will hate it. The stripe will be suttle with very low contrast almost like a ghost stripe. I just read a thread about hood pins and how everybody hates them...well as you can see I am going for them. The stripes and pins were added in photoshop so that I could make my final decision and I did. The other two pics were me just bored. I wont be painting the stripe red or amber.

In the first pic I think it's gonna look sweet, hood pins and all...I have a shadow gray 04 gt and wondered what it would like with stripes.You doing front to back right? Pretty good with that photoshop man. That amber/gold is different. Definitely not the red

Thank you . I appreciate the photoshop compliment as well. Straight on shots are easy to stripe. This one is a little more challenging findind the perspective. I wish I could post a higher res image. if anybody would like some really nice mustang wallpapers that I have made you can PM me your email and I will send.

My wife likes the amber one ...she would like me to do it actually copper. I explained it may look good in pic but in different sunlight it would look like shit. Plus she sees it matching the lights and they arent always on. I will still mock up a few copper for her and post them here later. I am going with my first choice- dark mineral Gray stripe

OK, the painters now have my car and I am now realizing I wont have it back until next Tuesday...7 days with a rental sucks. it should be worth it...hopefully.

The painter is pretty cool, he said I could come down the shop when the stripes are being taped and watch and even said I could help if I wanted to learn how. he also invited me to the shop the day they tint the paint so that I can pick how dark of a contrast I want with the mineral gray stripes. I wont recommend them until I inspect the results. he says it will be "show quality" with no seems or evidence of layering-and it should for $1200.

most stripes are 10" or 12" with a 2" or 1" gap in center. I made custom 11-1/2" stripes with the 2" center so that it would total 25" which is the width of the open grill under the hood. These measurements accidentally make the verticles on the top of the bumper (sides to open grill) look like fangs where the color splits from corner to corner. Again this was accident...not intentional, but hell it is ballanced and thats what counts.
