Painting rear deck lid? on a 94-98

I think painting the deck lid on 99-04 Mustangs makes them look so bad ass and somewhat old school. But what about us 94-98 owners? We don't really have a deck lid that stretched from taillight to taillight, but we do have that segment around our license plate. I think it'd look best with black taillight covers or housings. I photo shopped a pic to see what it might look like. I know this thread will get moved my the v6 forum is my spot and I'd kill for that Cobra. First time using GIMP. Tried to make it look like taillights had covers on them on second pic. What do you think? I kind of think it looks too busy, but I kind of like it mainly because I've NEVER seen it done.

I think it looks pretty decent. If I had a 94-98, I would probably do it. It definitely needs blacked out tail lights and tail light covers to pull it off though.

I don't think it looks too bad, but I'd probably leave mine red. (unless the paint was fading and need a touch up) then I'd do it.
