Satin paint help!!!


I want to paint my 01 gt satin balck but dont know what brand is best for the elements or does the paint u buy already come ready to spray ??

I plan to paint myself i have painted old ford

I want that satin black look not matte or flat black

I would imagine you would need some type of semi gloss clear to combat the elements , I know if you have a flat or matte finish they tell you to avoid driving in the rain. call up your local paint store or even a body shop

Are you going to rattle can it or use a spray gun and air compressor? If you're going to rattle can it, I recommend Krylon satin black with satin clear coat. If you're going to use a spray gun, I've heard good things about Dupont, PPG, and Sherwin Williams.

We need more information. When you say you have painted an old Ford, what do you mean? Do you have a full fledged paint booth with the air compressord, tools, lights, suits, ect... or have you simply sprayed an old Ford in the backyard with a gun and some generic paint?

This will help us in guiding you to the correct path.
