3k HIDs green..?

Okay so i put my stock fogs back in so i could actually see things now because even with 55w 3k HIDs i couldnt even see anything with my old smoked fogs, but anyway! I have 35w slim ballast with DDM 3k bulbs in my foglights and they are like a lime green color, not really yellow at all, is this what 3k really looks like? I want straight yellow, ive been considering the yellow vinyl covers from laminx to make them yellow, would this work? Anyone have these or pics of them? Or are my bulbs going bad? Thanks guys, and heres the yellow im looking for

Are you sure they sent you the correct bulbs?

Here are my factory bulbs with yellow vinyl covers. Not sure what brand. A buddy gave me his scraps so I put it on just to try it out.

im almost sure they sent the right ones, and im worried about putting the vinyl over them because 1. i dont want to burn the covers and 2. i dont want the greenish fogs going through the yellow covers and being more green then they already are lol

my bet is that they sent you the wrong bulbs...

I have messed around with using yellow vinyl with my 6ks (diamond white), and the temp of your bulbs will definitely affect how the light comes through the vinyl... SO if your lights are indeed green, they are not going to achieve the perfect yellow you want when you use the vinyl
