paint exhaust tips?


My tips are all scratched up? Think I can sand them down a little primer and paint? High temp paint... can only see a couple inches of the tip on the S197s... want to go black, have black chrome wheels ... let me know what you guys think?

Go for it. I believe they make high temp primer as well, so use that. Black exhaust tips look great with other black accents on stangs. One of the V6 S197 owners painted his exhaust tips black a few months ago and they turned out great. I planned on painting the exhaust tips on my old V6 black.

another thing to think about is black chrome paint. dont know if they have a high temp paint but ive seen a kit for rims. just an idea.

i think rich tried that stuff out before on his old wheels...didn't turn out like expected i think...couldn't hurt to pm him
